Trouble & Trifle and the Carnival of Cute

Our good friends Amanda and Zell at Trouble & Trifle are hosting a fabulous event on Saturday December 11th at the Mountain Bar in Chinatown. The event is being held to celebrate the release of the new Trouble & Trifle website. The party is going to be packed full of cute fun with a DJ performance by the very own Trouble & Trifle along with lots of special treats. There will be a mini pop-up gallery featuring several female artists, hat displays by Process & Content, craft sales, and a pop-up boutique by Pretty Pennies. The Hive stylists are also participating in an over-the-top circus themed hair show with models who seem right out of the big top. Check out the super cute flier for details!

Dream Holding Hands now at the Hive

We have a new collection of delicious smelling treasures. They're adorable soy candles set in vintage tea cups made by Katy, owner of Dream Holding Hands. They come in a range of scents from Tuscan Herb to Pumpkin Spice to Birthday Cake. They're cute and when the candle is all melted down, you're left with an adorable vintage tea setting!

Introducing Savanah!

We love our clients and we love sharing what they love to do! This week we'd love to introduce everyone to Savanah Loftus, a fabulous photographer! She specializes in engagement, wedding, new born, and child portraits. Check out her website and blog. They're as vibrant and fun as she is, plus there are some adorable baby pictures, too!

Brand New Wizardly Wonders

The For Wizards line by Davines has expanded! We welcome the two newest additions to our favorite styling line: No. 13 & No. 14

No. 14 is a Sea Salt Primer. It's a marine salt based styling spray that gives hair fullness, body, and texture. It has a slight amount of control for blowouts or air dried styles. It leaves your hair reminicent of that just-left-the-beach hair feeling. It has a dry texture and can be applied on wet or dry hair. Apply to the roots for lift or work through the ends with your hands for added natural wave. It smells fantastic.

No. 13 is a Mat Forming Ground. It works as a clay paste with a matt finish and extra-strong hold. It's excellent for giving the hair structure or body and is easy to control. It's key for rough or ultra-textured short styles. It's made with minerals found in clay to achieve the dry, matt look. To use, apply to dry hair and shape and scult into your desired look.
These are the two newest product additions to the Davines line and we love them! Stop by and try them out! Feel them, smell them, love them! We love feeling like hair Wizards with a line designed especially for the hair conscious!

Our 2nd Birthday!

Today is our 2nd anniversary and we must extend a well deserved thank you to all of our friends, clients, and neighbors. We had a lovely second year at The Hive and can't wait for the next! Here are a few photo memories of Year 2 at the Hive Los Angeles:
