The Hive Los Angeles is seeking artists K-8th grade to create an original piece for our show My Summer Vacation on Sunday, May 18, 2014. Paint, pencil, charcoal, poetry or a story: the medium is up to the artist. We just ask that the size is no larger than 8.5 X 11, unframed, and that each piece is collected by Wednesday, May 14th.

The goal of the show is to promote art and design for our local schools. Each piece will be sold for $20 and proceeds will go to the school and after school art programs.

On May 18th, we will have a daytime art opening (4pm-6pm) with a family friendly environment and a space to encourage the young artists to discuss their work with their peers and commemorate their art. The pieces will stay in The Hive Los Angeles for 3 months and be available for purchase until the last day of hanging. All unsold art will be donated to Garden Center Rehabilitation Center.

Submissions will be due no later than Wednesday, May 14th.
