The Hive Los Angeles will be presenting the work of Silver Lake artists K-8th grade on Sunday May 18th at 4pm.
The theme, "My Summer Vacation" will be shown in the medium of the young artist's choice, paint, pencil, charcoal, poetry or a story.
Final submissions are due by Wednesday, May 14th.
The goal of the show is to promote art and design for our local schools. Each one of a kind piece will be sold for $20 and proceeds will go to the school and after school art programs.
The daytime art opening (4pm-6pm) with a family friendly environment and a space to encourage the young artists to discuss their work with their peers and commemorate their art. The pieces will stay in The Hive Los Angeles for 3 months and be available for purchase until the last day of hanging. All unsold art will be donated to Garden Center Rehabilitation Center.
In addition to the art gallery, we will have a handful of local youth bands playing original material.Plus very special guests the Van Leeuwen Artisinal Ice Cream Truck.
